Check out this video about Silver Hawks owner Joe Kernan.

If I've said it once, I've said it one hundred times, we are blessed to have Joe Kernan as an owner because he truly cares so much about the city of South Bend.

And while you are on YouTube, if you still haven't seen our Tenth Man video, now's a good time to check it out here.

More Logan Night Video

Below is some more footage from the Logan Night at the Cove and the game with the Silver Hawks players and Logan Center All-Stars.

Fallen Heroes Night Footage

Saturday, August 7 was Fallen Heroes Night at Coveleski Stadium. About 40 police, fire, and EMS vehicles paraded around the field before the game. Additionally, catcher Errol Hollinger was awarded the Corporal Paul Deguch Community Award for the volunteering he's done in the South Bend community.

Below is some footage of the event and a brief interview with Hollinger.

Amazing Catch

One of the phrases that I feel is overused by announcers is "robbed of a home run". Just because somebody makes a catch leaping in to the wall doesn't mean it would have been a home run. However, robbed of a home run is an understatement in the following video.

The catch was made by Masato Akamatsu of the Hiroshima Carp.

English Graduation and The Ketchup Remix

Seven current Silver Hawks players recently graduated from an English class taught by Higher Standards Academy, LLC. As part of their graduation ceremony, the players performed a song called "The Ketchup Remix" that helped them practice their English skills. From right to left in the video, the players are: Victor Estevez, Yonata Ortega, Ender Inciarte, Ramon Castillo, Rafael Quezada, Diogenes Rosario, and Randy Rodriguez.

Christmas in July

Despite the temperatures soaring above 90 degrees, tonight is "Christmas in July" at the Cove! Fans can receive $2 off a bleacher ticket by bringing an unwrapped gift to the game that will be donated to Toys for Tots. Also, Santa will make a visit to spread holiday cheer. Below is a video of Silver Hawks players sharing what their favorite Christmas present they've received is.
