Today's Research Project - Run Support

Since J.R. Bradley took another tough loss last night, I went back through all 82 games and determined how many runs the Silver Hawks scored in each game started by the various pitchers.  The results are below in alphabetical order.

Mike Bolsinger (2 starts) - 3, 1
Total Runs: 4
Runs Per Start: 2

J.R. Bradley (16 starts) - 8, 3, 0, 1, 2, 6, 3, 4, 1, 8, 7, 1, 4, 0, 4, 1
Total Runs: 53
Runs Per Start: 3.3

Enrique Burgos (1 start) - 0
Total Runs: 0
Runs Per Start: 0

Tyler Green (10 starts) - 1, 4, 4, 7, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4, 15
Total Runs: 51
Runs Per Start: 5.1

Bradin Hagens (13 starts) - 19, 1, 4, 5, 4, 7, 3, 4, 5, 7, 3, 4, 5
Total Runs: 71
Runs Per Start: 5.5

David Holmberg (14 starts) - 1, 2, 4, 1, 8, 6, 6, 7, 10, 3, 4, 5, 5, 7
Total Runs: 69
Runs Per Start: 4.9

Patrick Schuster (13 starts) - 0, 0, 3, 4, 1, 6, 4, 5, 8, 8, 9, 1, 5
Total Runs: 54
Runs Per Start: 4.2

Jeff Shields (12 starts) - 9, 1, 1, 3, 3, 8, 4, 3, 12, 1, 1, 4
Total Runs: 50
Runs Per Start: 4.2

Dan Taylor (1 start) - 0
Total Runs: 0
Runs Per Start: 0

As you can see, of the regular starters, Bradley is receiving nearly a run less per game than everyone else.  As I said last night, he deserves to be much better than 2-12 on the season.
