LAST GAME: A costly error and a late rally led to West Michigan’s 9-4 win over the Silver Hawks on Thursday night. Alfredo Marte’s error in a 4-4 tie allowed Alden Carrithers to take an extra base, ultimately leading to tie-breaking run in the seventh inning. West Michigan tacked on four insurance runs in the eighth to pin the loss on Bayron Zepeda (LP, 3-4). Carrithers went 4-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored to lead the Whitecaps offensive attack. Rob Waite (WP, 1-0) pitched 5.0 scoreless innings to earn his first victory of the season. West Michigan won three out of four games in the series.

  1. What happened to Parker last night?

  2. Not an injury. Pulled for other reasons. From what I understand, he did not run out a pop out. At this level, jogging to first base will get you pulled from a game rather quickly.
