  1. I'm just curious, but what is your opinion on why ticket prices went up a dollar from last year? Because from a fans perspective raising prices in our current economic situation doesn't seem to be the smartest thing to do. So could you please shed some light on this for us fans. Thanks Owen. I still love the blog. keep up the good work.

  2. Excellent question. To be honest, the ticket price increase of a dollar this season is the first increase in over a decade for Silver Hawks tickets. The simple answer would be that everything has gone up in price in the last 10-12 years, and as our expenses have increased in that time, it was finally the time to raise the price by a dollar to help cover our costs.

Not to sound like a company spokesperson here, but Silver Hawks tickets are still the most affordable family entertainment in town. You can still come to a Silver Hawks game for less than the price it would cost you to park if you went to a Major League game.

However, we know that still doesn't work with everyone's budget, so we continue to offer great discount nights. We will still have our Dollar Mondays (with $1 reserved seat tickets, hot dogs, and pepsi products), Twofer Tuesdays (Two tickets for the price of one), Thirsty Thursday (Dollar draft beers for the adult crowd) and Souvenir Saturdays (where the first fans through the gate get a free souvenir).

I hope this helps to answer your question. It's easy for me to say, since I don't pay for my ticket to the game. But hopefully the $1 increase won't scare off too many people, and people continue to take advantage of our discounted nights.
