From the Notes - August 13th

LAST GAME: Errol Hollinger drove in five runs – including the game winner in a three run bottom of the ninth rally – to lead the Silver Hawks to a 7-6 walk off win over the Great Lakes Loons on Thursday night. Hollinger hit a three run homer in the fourth, a RBI single in the fifth, and finally the walk off RBI single in the 9th to lead the Silver Hawks all the way back. Bobby Borchering and Ramon Castillo also had RBI hits in the ninth, as the Hawks rallied against Steve Ames (LP, 0-2). Brian Budrow (WP, 5-2) was perfect in relief, not allowing a base runner in 3.1 innings on the mound.

TEAM NOTES:
• With 24 games remaining in the second half, the Silver Hawks are currently 3.5 games out of a playoff spot.
• All 24 games left will be against Eastern Division opponents, with 19 of the 24 against other playoff hopefuls.
• The Silver Hawks have clinched a series win vs. the Loons for the first series win since July 10-12th @ Fort Wayne.
• South Bend now has eight walk off wins this season.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
• Errol Hollinger had his first three hit game and first five RBI game of the season last night.
• Matt Davidson ranks second in the MWL with 76 RBIs – Matt Adams of Quad Cities has 78.
• Keon Broxton continues to lead all of baseball with 16 triples, despite not having one since July 25th vs. Wisconsin.
