From the Notes - August 4th

-With 33 games remaining in the second half, the Silver Hawks are currently 5.5 games out of a playoff spot.

-All 33 games left will be against Eastern Division opponents, with 22 of the 33 against other playoff hopefuls.

-The Silver Hawks have won two games in a row for the first time since July 10th and 11th @ Fort Wayne.

-Matt Davidson hit two homers in a game last night for the second time this season. His league leading RBI total is up to 71.

-Keon Broxton has led off five straight games with a hit, scoring a run each time.

-Ramon Castillo has hits in 31 of his first 38 games for the Silver Hawks, including two more RBIs last night (27 on season).

-Bobby Borchering has a four game hitting streak and has hits in seven of his last 10 at-bats.

-Andrew Fie (three hits) and Errol Hollinger (two hits) also had multi-hit games for South Bend last night.

-Bradin Hagens pitched arguably his best outing last night: 3.1 scoreless innings of relief.
