LAST GAME: The South Bend Silver Hawks left 12 runners on base and went 2-for-19 with runners in scoring position on Friday night, falling to the Dayton Dragons 5-3. Mike Belfiore (LP, 2-10) allowed four runs over 8.0 innings to suffer the loss, falling to a lack of run support again. Jacob Johnson (WP, 8-6) earned the win with five innings of two run ball. Josh Smith (SV, 1) got the save. Tommy Nurre had a three run homer to pace the Dragons offensively. Bobby Borchering and David Nick both had three hits for South Bend.

PLAYOFF RACE:
• With 10 games remaining, the Hawks are currently 4.5 games behind West Michigan for the final playoff spot.

TEAM NOTES:
• The Silver Hawks had the bases loaded in the 8th and 9th innings last night but managed just one run.
• In addition to 12 left on base last night, the Silver Hawks had a runner thrown out at home and hit into two double plays.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
• Keon Broxton continues to lead all of baseball with 19 triples. He has tied the MWL record for most triples in a season (established in 1954 by John Wyre of the Clinton Pirates).
• Ramon Castillo is on a nine game hitting streak (.412, 14 hits in 34 at-bats).
