Why I'm Not Worried

Okay, so the Silver Hawks are 1-4.  A few reasons why I'm not worried:

-They're really starting to hit the ball, and by that, I mean 45 hits in the last three games.

-Despite giving up nine runs yesterday, I really don't feel like the pitching has been all that bad.  The team ERA is 4.50, which is right in the middle of the league.  The strikeout total is only 38, but then again, the walk total is only 13.  This team (through one turn in the rotation) pitches to contact, and that's not a bad thing in a big ballpark like Coveleski Stadium.

-The first series was tough, with a commute for four straight days to start the season.  Losing three out of four on commuters is common.

-Finally, even though Mark Haley hates to admit it, his teams have always started slow.  He's a consistent manager, and more often than not, by the second or third week of the season, his teams have turned it around and are moving in the right direction.
