LAST GAME (Sunday): South Bend erupted for eight runs on nine hits in the second inning (both season highs), as they routed the Fort Wayne TinCaps 8-3 in the first half finale on Sunday. It was the first win for the Silver Hawks in 12 tries over the TinCaps this season. Jake Elmore had a two run triple in the big inning, with Rossmel Perez picking up two hits in the inning, scoring a run and driving in another. Keny Sosa (ND) enjoyed another good outing, tossing 4.0 scoreless innings. Jordan Meaker (WP, 2-0) pitched two scoreless innings in middle relief to be credited with the win. All nine batters for South Bend had a hit, and eight of the nine scored a run.

TEAM NOTES:
· Manager Mark Haley and his staff led the East All-Stars to a 6-3 win on Tuesday at Alliant Energy Field in Clinton, Iowa.
· The Silver Hawks beat the TinCaps for the first time on Sunday after losing the first 11 against Fort Wayne.
· South Bend finished the first half in a virtual tie for fourth place, percentage points behind the Dayton Dragons.
· South Bend has a losing record against every Eastern Division team but Lansing (1-6 WM, 1-7 GL, 1-11 FW, 3-5 DTN, 7-3 LAN).

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
· RHP Ryan Cook started the All-Star Game for the East, allowing one hit and no runs in 1.0 inning pitched.
· RHP T.J. Hose threw 0.2 innings, needing just two pitches to get two outs in the all star game.
· LHP Bayron Zepeda also threw 0.2 innings allowing an inherited runner to score.
· INF Reynaldo Navarro was 0-for-2 in the ASG. Outfielder Alfredo Marte was 0-for-1.
· OF Marc Krauss has one hit in each of his first five games with South Bend.
