May 17th Roster Move

RHP Chase Anderson promoted to high-A Visalia.

LHP Dan Taylor promoted to high-A Visalia.

RHP Scott Allen joins Silver Hawks from extended spring training.

Owen's Analysis (which is in no way official): Visalia has been devastated with injuries to pitchers this season. Anderson and Taylor are going up to fill roles, and maybe stay for the long term if they are effective. Both are college draftees, so they are experienced enough to handle a move up.

Allen is a young pitcher who will likely fill one of the starting roles (maybe tomorrow) for South Bend. It'll be interesting to see what an 18-year-old pitcher can do against this veteran league.

Finally, the roster is only at 23 active players. It won't stay that way for long. Expect more moves coming soon.
