Good News: The Silver Hawks have added some power to their lineup with the addition of Clayton Conner.
Bad News: It comes at the expense of Ramon Ramirez, who has been released from the Diamondbacks organization.
Story can be read here.
It's always tough when you see a player get released, especially one who is as nice and friendly as Ramon Ramirez. At the same time, it's a calculated decision by the Diamondbacks, and they just didn't feel like Ramon fit into their future plans anymore. We all wish him the best of luck.

Parker Back on DL, Ramirez Back on Hawks
Read the story here.
My thoughts: Justin Parker's incredibly frustrated because his shoulder just won't heal up. I was talking to him the other day, and you can tell how annoying this has been for him. You feel for him, but you could also see that he wasn't fully healthy because his average has dropped over the last week. He's too good of a hitter to have a stretch like he's had recently.
Hopefully with more rest it'll heal up and he'll be ready to go in 7-10 days.
In the meantime, Ramirez comes back as a guy who can play either first or third. He didn't hit much with South Bend, but had turned it on with Visalia. Hopefully he can continue hitting the ball well now that he is back.

Roster Move
Ramon Ramirez was promoted to high-A Visalia last night. That's the only news I have right now. I'm still waiting to find out if A.J. Pollock is officially being added to the roster today or not.
While losing Ramirez might not seem like a huge deal, I think it hurts in terms of leadership. He was a player that the younger guys looked up to, particularly the younger Latin American players. He was a good "clubhouse" guy, and had a knack for coming up with some big hits this season (remember the walk-off hit in the bottom of the 15th against Beloit).
More updates if I hear anything more.
