Opening Day is Crazy

Sorry for the lack of posts today, but as you can imagine, things are rather hectic for the home opener. 

I was on live TV at 6:20 AM, followed by coming straight to work to get notes and stat packs done.  I've cleaned the press box (amongst many other things) today, and had another taped TV interview.

I'll have lineups for you soon, but that'll probably be my only other post today.  Tomorrow will settle down and I'll get back to a normal day of posting.

Opening Night Thoughts

• Tip of the cap to West Michigan starter Casey Crosby -- he was simply dominating through 5 innings.
• West Michigan manager Joe DePastino got Crosby out at the right time, he was fading fast, and the Silver Hawks were taking advantage.
• Let's not forget that Trevor Harden pitched a very solid ballgame as well. Eight K's in 5.0 innings is very strong.
• Not a whole lot of offense tonight for the Hawks, but I think that's more of a credit to West Michigan pitching.
• It's one game, don't read too much into it. This team wasn't going to go 140-0, and they won't go 0-140. I'm always amazed at how many people think the world is ending when their team loses on Opening Day. I have news for you: half the teams in the league lose on Opening Day.
