Super Bowl Week

I don't have much baseball-related content this week, but keep your eye on http://www.silverhawks.com/ for some exciting promotions that will launch next week.

In the meantime, can we talk quickly about the ridiculous nature of Super Bowl week?  This whole Big Ben going out to a piano bar story is absurd.  I hate the Steelers, and even I can see how crazy this story is.

Being in the media (to a certain extent), this is my least favorite week for media coverage.  Every little thing gets blown way out of proportion.

Anyhow, let me go on record as saying that I want the Packers to win, I think the Steelers will win, but since I could never live myself for picking the Steelers, my official Super Bowl prediction is:

Packers 27, Steelers 24

How's That Prediction Looking Now?

I was all hot to trot to get my Super Bowl prediction published before the game, so that if I was right, I could come in and brag this morning.

Yeah...about that...um...Oops.

Nice game for the Saints. Their defense played better than I thought, and Brees picked apart the Colts defense WAY MORE than I ever imagined he would.

Now that football is over, we can turn our attention to two of my favorite things:
1) The final two months of college basketball
2) Spring training and the start of baseball season

Super Bowl Prediction

I wanted to get this posted before the game, so that I can brag on Monday when I'm right.

I'll take the Colts tonight, 38-20. Saints score first, build a lot of excitement, then Peyton Manning systematically picks them apart the rest of the game.

I honestly hope I'm wrong with the final score. I want to see a great game that comes down to the final possession. And I can truly say I don't care who wins. I like Manning and the Colts alright, but it would be nice for the people of New Orleans and Drew Brees to get a Super Bowl win.
