Weather Update (Updated Again)

The rain continues to fall in Lansing.  We have been told first pitch won't be until about 8:15 PM Eastern Time.  It's now a 9:30 PM Eastern Time first pitch.  Back live from the stadium around 9:20 with starting lineups, etc.

Weather Update (3:52 PM)

After waiting out the tornado warning downstairs in the basement of the Cove with the rest of the fans, I can report that today's second game has been postponed due to the inclement weather.

We will try again with a doubleheader tomorrow at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.  Pregame coverage at 11:40 AM Eastern Time.

South Bend Weather Update - Saturday, May 7th

It's rained a good portion of the afternoon, but it has stopped and we still plan on playing tonight. 

The pregame show will still begin at 5:10 PM Eastern Time, but we may have a bit of a delay at the start as they get the field ready to go.  Expected first pitch is at 5:45 PM Eastern Time now (15 minutes later than originally scheduled).

Weather Update

It's cold in Midland, Michigan right now (38 degrees), but to this point, it is still dry. 

However, below is the hourly forecast from weather.com (I have no idea how this will format, but it's worth a try, right?

As you can see, it doesn't look promising.  I'll let you know when I know something.  Weather.com has been wrong before, but usually when they are talking about a 75% chance of precipitation or higher, that doesn't look good.

 

Here's an interesting note, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have already postponed games for tonight AND tomorrow afternoon.  This might be the earliest any team has every postponed a game.

Weather Update

It's horrible right now. We will not be starting the pregame show at 7:10 PM because the storms are so severe and the lightning is too bad to risk it.

If and when I have an update, I'll let you know.

Weather Update - May 17th

It's rainy in South Bend this afternoon, but we fully expect to play tonight.

If you have a ticket or want to come to the game, the temperature is fine, so grab a windbreaker and come on out to the ballpark.
