I remember watching Jordan Norberto pitch for the Silver Hawks in 2007 and 2008, while I was broadcasting for the Dayton Dragons. Given that he had an ERA north of 5.00 in both seasons with South Bend, the general consensus was that Norberto had a lot of work to do if he ever wanted to make the majors.
Fast forward two years, and he's in big league camp impressing the heck out of Diamondbacks officials. Still a long shot to make the Opening Day roster, Norberto could certainly find himself in the bigs at some point in 2010, and certainly in 2011.
Hey, someone finally noticed the guy who I pointed out in the 2007 season! Deb and Shari can attest to this!
ReplyDeleteHe has the stuff but I wasn't sure if he wasn't focusing or if he was trying too hard and forcing his pitches (lack of control). He just has to let his pitches do their own thing.
Good Luck to Jordan!
