LAST GAME: Wisconsin picked up their first win after an 0-for-9 start on the road this season, as they defeated the South Bend Silver Hawks 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. Michael Vass had two hits and two RBI to lead the Wisconsin offensive attack. Wade Miley (LP, 1-2) was pinned with the loss, despite tossing a team-high 8.0 innings in the starting role. Miley allowed four runs on six hits with four strikeouts in the game. Bryan Woodall (ND) pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Rossmel Perez picked up the only RBI of the game for South Bend, picking up two hits and extending his hitting streak to 10 games. Justin Parker picked up a hit as well, moving his streak to a team-best 13 games.

TEAM NOTES:
· South Bend played 17 of their first 24 games on the road, but in the midst of a 10-game and 11-day homestand.
· The loss Sunday snapped a five-game winning streak, the longest of the season for South Bend.
· This will be the third series against Lansing in 2009. The Hawks haven’t played any other team more than one series.
· The Silver Hawks have hit three grand slams this season, all since April 28th.
· Trevor Harden was promoted to Visalia after Sunday’s game. Harden was first in the league in wins and 9th in ERA.
· Randy Rodriguez takes Harden’s spot on the active roster.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
· Justin Parker’s current 13 game hitting streak is the longest on the team for 2009. His .325 average ranks 9th in league.
· Brendan Duffy ranks sixth in the league with a .333 batting average and fourth with a .439 on-base percentage.
· Alfredo Marte is tied for third in the Midwest League with 10 doubles.
· Ryan Cook, tonight’s starter, ranks T-2nd in the MWL with four victories. He is one behind Trevor Harden.
