South Bend, IN – The South Bend Silver Hawks have announced that Wednesday morning’s home game against the Lansing Lugnuts has been postponed due to rain. Fans can redeem their rain check tickets at any time at the stadium box office.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday morning beginning at 10:30 AM for a special School Day at the Cove. Gates will open at 9:30 AM at Coveleski Stadium.
Because of the unique situation of a doubleheader on a school day, the Silver Hawks are offering free tickets for the second game. Fans arriving to Coveleski Stadium after 12:00 noon will be issued a free ticket for game two of the doubleheader.
Probable pitchers will be RHP Sean Morgan (1-0, 2.55 ERA) for South Bend in game one, while Lansing counters with RHP Henderson Alvarez (3-3, 3.86 ERA). In game two, LHP Taylor Sinclair (0-1, 3.68 ERA) will make the spot start for South Bend, with Lansing turning to scheduled starter LHP John Anderson (1-1, 3.07 ERA).
