LAST GAME: Burlington scored six times in the eighth inning to turn a relatively close game into a rout, winning 11-3 in the series opener Wednesday night. Nick Van Stratten went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored to lead the Bees offensively, while Nick Francis added three RBI and Sean McCauley had two – including a solo home run. Tim Melville (WP, 1-0) earned the win in his professional debut, allowing just one run on two hits in 6.0 innings. Wade Miley (LP, 1-3) allowed four runs in 5.0 innings for the loss, while Houston Summers (ND) was touched up for seven runs in 2.2 innings. Brendan Duffy went hitless, but had two RBI while Chris Davis scored two runs and Justin Parker added two hits for South Bend. Carson Bryant (SV, 2) pitched the final 3.0 innings for the save.

TEAM NOTES:
· The current five game losing streak is the longest of 2009 for the Silver Hawks.
· The Silver Hawks have been held to six hits or less in each of the last four ballgames.

· Brendan Duffy ranks 7th in the league with a .331 batting average.
· Chris Davis scored two runs and drove in the third yesterday, despite not picking up a base hit (two walks, sacrifice fly).
