LAST GAME: The Silver Hawks saw their three game winning streak get snapped Monday night, as the Kane County Cougars broke open a close game in the late innings on their way to a 6-1 victory. Brett Moorhouse (LP, 0-3) suffered the defeat, despite allowing just two runs in 5.1 innings. Justin Mace (ND) was tagged for four runs – three earned – in 1.2 innings towards the end of the game as Kane County rallied late. Jason Christian has two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored to lead the Cougars offensive attack. Mitch LeVier also had two hits, including a solo home run. For the Silver Hawks, Brendan Duffy had two hits with a run scored, while Alfredo Marte picked up an RBI to go along with two singles. Rossmel Perez went 2-for-4 to raise his average to .455.

TEAM NOTES:
· The Silver Hawks are 0-4 thus far in attempts to reach the .500 mark in 2009.
· The Silver Hawks have stranded 59 runners in the last six games.
· Silver Hawks pitchers have issued just 60 walks this season, fewest in the league.
· South Bend played 17 of their first 24 games on the road, but a 10-game and 11-day homestand.
· Arizona’s Vice President of Player Development, A.J. Hinch, is expected to be in town for the series against Cedar Rapids.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
· Alberto Diaz has three home runs on the season, tied with Jake Elmore for the team lead. Both Diaz and Elmore have one grand slam.
· Justin Parker’s current ten game hitting streak is the longest on the team for 2009.
· Trevor Harden is tied for the MWL league lead with four wins and ranks first with 30.2 IP.
· Alfredo Marte ranks 2nd with nine doubles on the year and with T-4th with 12 extra base hits.

  1. I am a season ticket holder. I am currently travelling for work to Orangeville Pennsylvania. Obviously I can't get you on the radio but I listened to the webcast tonight. This was great as I called my wife and kids at the Cove and already knew how the Hawks were doing. Thanks for making it a little easier to be away from home.
