Last night, former Silver Hawks outfielder Collin Cowgill was called up to the Major Leagues with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He made his pro debut last night, but went 0-for-4.
Cowgill played with South Bend for 50 games in 2008, hitting .249 with one homer and 17 RBIs.
Cowgill is the 125th former South Bend White Sox/Silver Hawks players to make the Majors. He joins Josh Collmenter, Evan Scribner, Bryan Shaw, and Ryan Cook as former Hakws to debut in the Majors this season.
