LHP Patrick Schuster has been placed on the suspended list. This is for throwing at Chris Jacobs during that incident on July 7th. This really isn't a big deal because it's a three game suspension (Friday-Sunday) and he's not scheduled to pitch again until Monday night in relief of Tyler Green.
Anyhow, there you have it.
Speaking of Patrick Schuster, why is he pitching in relief of Tyler Green?
ReplyDeleteI wondered it this had something to do with his innings pitched but J.R. Bradley is still starting and he has 90 innings pitched compared to Patricks 88 innings pitched.
Dave
You are right Dave. It's innings. Don't overthink it by comparing Bradley to Schuster. Pitchers don't all have the same innings count. Schuster was way too high at the all-star break, so he's getting back on track now. Bradley will be monitored closely with the innings in the second half.
ReplyDeleteThanks Owen, that's what I figured. He probably pitched more innings in the first half than he pitched any full season!
