In my humble opinion, Beloit is the worst place to go in the Midwest League.
The hotel (Rodeway Inn) is miserable. The ballpark is a glorified high school park. The press box is a trailer set on top of metal bleachers. I'm just praying that the internet service is reliable for the broadcast.
Then again, a place like this is a throwback to the way Minor League Baseball used to be. Cities like Fort Wayne and Dayton with their huge ballparks didn't exist years ago. So let's call this a throwback series, shall we?
If you want an idea of what the ballpark looks like, click this link for my blog posts from two years ago when we were here: http://owensbaseballblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Pohlman%20Field
