LAST GAME: Austin Gallagher hit a two-run homer in the first inning off of Rafael Quezada (LP, 0-2), and the Loons never looked back on their way to an 8-1 rout Friday night. Gallagher finished with three RBI, while teammates Dee Gordon and Alfredo Silverio each added two RBI apiece. Ethan Martin (WP, 2-0) was the beneficiary of all the Loons run, holding South Bend to one run in five innings to earn the win. For the Silver Hawks, Brendan Duffy had two hits and an RBI to lead the offense. Quezada was tagged for six runs in just 3.0 innings. Daniel Vasquez (ND) allowed two runs in 3.0 innings in relief, while Jordan Meaker (ND) pitched two scoreless innings for the Hawks.

TEAM NOTES:
· The Silver Hawks are still looking for their first win on the road (0-5 on the road, 2-1 at home).
· The Silver Hawks are the only Midwest League team to have not hit a home run yet.
· The Hawks have struck out 81 times this season, most in the Midwest League.
· Silver Hawks pitchers have walked 21 batters in eight games, third fewest in the league.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
· Brendan Duffy had two hits yesterday, to extend his hitting streak to a season-best four games.
· Duffy’s .391 average ranks 8th in the Midwest League.
· Wade Miley is the only pitcher in the rotation to have not earned a decision yet.
· Alberto Diaz’s current five game hitting streak is the best on the team so far in 2009.
