LAST GAME: The Great Lakes Loons scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning to turn a one-run deficit into a one-run lead and defeated the South Bend Silver Hawks 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in Midland. Kyle Russell had an RBI double and Tony Delmonico followed with an RBI single against reliever Bryan Woodall (LP, 0-2) to push the Loons out in front. Isaias Asencio had the lone RBI for the Hawks on a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Ryan Cook (ND) turned in his second strong outing in a row, allowing just one unearned run in 6.0 innings. Javy Guerra (WP, 1-0) held South Bend to just one hit in two innings to earn his first win of the year.

TEAM NOTES:
· The Silver Hawks picked up their first road win of the season Saturday (1-6 on road, 2-1 at home).
· The Silver Hawks were the last Midwest League team to hit a home run, hitting two in Saturday’s game at Great Lakes.
· The Hawks have struck out 90 times this season, 3rd most in the Midwest League, but just nine K’s in last two games.
· Silver Hawks pitchers have walked 24 batters in nine games, tied for fewest in the league.
· South Bend has played seven of their first 10 games on the road, with the next four on the road at Lansing.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
· Brendan Duffy had two more hits Sunday, to extend his hitting streak to a season-best six games.
· Duffy’s 13 hits rank T-5th in the Midwest League, 3rd in average at .433, and 3rd in OBP at .528 on the season.
· Wade Miley is the only pitcher in the rotation to have not earned a decision yet.
· Alberto Diaz had a six-game hitting streak snapped Sunday. His streak is tied with Duffy for longest on the team this year.
