LAST GAME: The Silver Hawks were shutout for the seventh time this season on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Burlington Bees 3-0 at Coveleski Stadium. South Bend tied a season low with two hits, and stranded just three runners on base all afternoon (all three were left in the fifth inning). Manauris Baez (WP, 4-4) allowed just two hits over his 6.0 innings on the mound, striking out five and walking two. Blaine Hardy (SV, 4) pitched 3.0 perfect innings in relief for the Bees. South Bend starter Ryan Cook (LP, 6-9) lost for the ninth time in his last 10 starts, allowing three runs (two earned) over 6.0 innings. Bryan Woodall (ND) continued his consecutive scoreless innings streak, tossing 3.0 innings in relief. Woodall has not allowed a run over his last 15.1 innings pitched, the longest streak on the team this season.

TEAM NOTES:
· South Bend has now been shut out seven times this season, including twice in the last four games and four times in the 2nd half.
· South Bend committed two errors yesterday, their first multi-error game since July 10th at Beloit.
· SB was 14-9 against the West in the first half, including 1-2 vs. BUR. Silver Hawks are 6-5 against West in the second half.
· With 47 to play, South Bend and Great Lakes are tied for the playoff spots, with Dayton 2.0 back and Lansing 3.5 out.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
· RHP Bryan Woodall has lowered his ERA from 7.08 to 3.32 since June 5th, and has not allowed a run in July.
· Woodall’s current 15.1 consecutive scoreless innings streak is the highest on the team in 2009.
· T.J. Hose is now 11 out of 12 in saves opportunities this season, and he saved back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.
