LAST GAME: Randy Rodriguez (LP, 1-7) lost his sixth straight start as the Lansing Lugnuts scored five runs against him in a 5-3 win on Monday night. Four different players drove in a run for the Lugnuts, who pulled themselves into a tie with the Silver Hawks in the second half standings. Rossmel Perez had three hits and a RBI, with A.J. Pollock picking up two more hits for South Bend. Justin Parker, Perez, and Jake Elmore each had RBIs for South Bend. Rodriguez gave up five runs (three earned) in 4.2 innings. Brad Wilson (ND) was excellent in his Silver Hawks debut, tossing 3.1 innings of scoreless relief. Jonas Cuotto (WP, 2-4) earned the win for Lansing, while Boomer Potts (ND) and Matt Daly (SV, 15) closed it out.

TEAM NOTES:
• South Bend ranks last in the MWL in home runs (21) and second to last in stolen bases (45).
• All four teams fighting for the second half playoff spots are currently 4-7 (Dayton, Great Lakes, Lansing, South Bend).

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
• A.J. Pollock had his third straight mulit-hit game yesterday and now has seven hits and two stolen bases in this series.
• Rossmel Perez had three hits in Monday’s game to raise his average to .291.
• Reliever Brad Wilson tossed 3.1 scoreless innings in his Silver Hawks debut on Monday. He allowed just one hit.
