It's easy to go with Pujols for many reasons..but i'm gonna go with Carlos Pena. I've watched him in batting practice many times..and this guy can hit some bombs! Bring it home Carlos!
If anyone is interested, of those 8 players, 6 of them played in the Midwest League over the years. Pujols Peoria 2000, Fielder Beloit 2003, Gonzalez Kane County 2001, Mauer Quad City, 2002, Cruz Kane County 2003 (I think!) and Inge, West Michigan, 2000?
I'm pulling for Mauer. One of my favorites in the majors, and an all around nice guy when I saw him play in South Bend.

ReplyDeleteMy sentimental pick is Inge. My favorite player, who plays for my favorite team, who wears the same number as I always have.
ReplyDeleteAlso, a guy that I grew up with and was a teammate of mine through High School is pitching to Inge (Detroit Bullpen Catcher Scott Pickens).
However, it is hard to go against Pujols.
