A few highlights from today's notes:
South Bend has won four games in July already, after winning just four the entire month of June.
The Silver Hawks are leading the chase for the second half playoff spots, although there are still a lot of games remaining.
Marc Krauss hit his first pro homer last night. He actually had a very productive night all around (single, reached on an error and scored, walk, home run, single, Sac Fly), not to mention a great catch up against the wall in the bottom of the seventh.
The team played 12 innings last night, then got on the bus to Beloit, Wisconsin. We arrived just after 5 AM Eastern Time, 4 AM here in Wisconsin. The joys of life on the road!
Game time at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central tonight.
